COOL WAYS TO LISTEN TO MUSIC

Filed under: Flowers — Administrator @ 4:07 pm

Abstract: Flower Girl Basket
Tag:

The sound of music is.well, music to my ears! It enters my brain on both sides of my head, and works it’s way throughout my entire essence. Of course, that is if it is the type of music I enjoy listening to.

Most of us are well aware that there are numerous types of music, but I have yet to see a list of how many ways and places there are to listen. Therefore I decided to contribute a few in this article.and here they are!

One of my favorite is to go to a park, and if there is a swing there, I sit on it and slowly sway back and forth for a while, and just let the world go by.

At my young age, I can no longer climb a mountain, but when I can, I drive as close to the top as I can, and sit on the hood of my vehicle with my back against the windshield, or lay on the roof.

Another really pleasing and tranquil thing to do, especially when traveling, is to take the two lane back roads, and when you approach a creek or small river, stop and remove your shoes and socks, sit on the bank with your bare feet in the water.and if it isn’t too deep, wade in it for a while.
Try motoring out to the countryside, find a roadside park or rest area, lay out a blanket, and read a book, or listen to your favorite music.
If it is that time of year when old man winter is on the prowl, and it happens to be snowing, enjoy a walk in it, or just stay on the porch and watch it. Try to catch a few snow flakes in your mouth.oh yummy!
At night, during the summer, take a trip where there are lots of open spaces, and you will soon find the fireflies lighting up your life.
Whether it’s summer, fall, winter, or spring, I can count on a few giggles when it comes to watching squirrels, rabbits, deer, or any other creatures at play.
Tooling in your vehicle past a wooded area on a nice day? Stop and open both doors, put on some soothing music, and dance to it with someone you love
Walk bare footed in the mud, and feel it squish through your toes.
When is the last time you camped out in your back yard?
Is there an arboretum nearby? Why not drop by and inhale the aromas of all the flowers?
I’m sure you didn’t forget how to fly a kite, and imagine that you were the one flying
How about enjoying a sunrise or sunset?
Why not go on the web and look up the past.what songs did they sing? What type of vehicles did they drive? What were the style of clothes they wore? What types of dances were there?
If there are mountains or large hills not too far away, drive to the top—take a blanket, a book, plus some soothing music, and something cool to drink.
Walk around in the grass barefooted.
The next time it rains on a nice day, take a pillow and lay down in the back seat of your car, and let the rain drops lull you to sleep.
Take a drive with no particular destination in mind.
If it is the right time of year, drive out to the country after dark, and watch a field of fireflies, or just walk for a little while on a back road.
Go out into the countryside on a clear and cloudless night with a pair of binoculars, or a telescope, and when you begin to realize that all that stuff is really out there, it will make your problems seem very insignificant.
Rent a car from the fifties and/or a convertible, and go for a nice ride in the countryside.
Take a weekend trip somewhere, at least 200 miles away, and stay in a cabin in the countryside, or the mountains.
The above are only a few of the myriad ways and places to listen to the music of your choice. In this hurried world today, please pick a few of them, and go for it as soon as possible.

Flower Delivery Services – The Essence of Flowers

Filed under: Flowers — Administrator @ 9:09 pm

Abstract: Silk Flower Arrangement

“The enchanting essence and ethereal beauty of flowers has
fascinated humans since time immemorial. Somewhere along the way
people began saying it with flowers when they couldn’t find the
words to explain how they felt. Even today people turn to
flowers when unable to express their deepest emotions. A gift of
flowers is greatly appreciated not just for its beauty but
because it has the power to lift one’s spirits. Flowers are an
integral part of life in every culture around the world. No
wedding is complete without flowers. In the West the wedding
venue is flooded with flowers. The bride and her bridesmaids
carry bouquets while the groom and others in the wedding party
wear flowers as boutonnieres and corsages. In some Eastern
cultures the bride and groom are wedded under a canopy of
flowers. Most brides wear floral garlands or have flowers in
their hair. The red rose is universally considered the enduring
symbol of love. When a man hands a woman a red rose, he doesn’t
need to explain how he feels. Also frequently used to express
love and admiration are red carnations, chrysanthemums and
tulips. Gifting flowers is the preferred way to share in the
happiness of someone celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, a
wedding or the birth of a child. White flowers, which are
associated with purity, are commonly used to express condolences
on someone’s death. Each flower carries a subtle message – some
flattering and others not. The language of flowers is
complicated and there is little agreement on their meanings. A
daisy is believed to represent innocence and a single daffodil
misfortune. But a bunch of daffodils represents happiness.
Except a few though, most flowers are today chosen merely for
their beauty. There are also birthflowers associated with each
month. Carnation and snowdrop representing constancy are the
birthflowers for January; violet and primrose denoting sincerity
for February; jonquil and daffodil representing courage for
March; sweet pea and daisy denoting innocence for April; lily of
the valley representing love for May; rose and honeysuckle
denoting health for June; larkspur and water lily representing
contentment for July; gladiolus and poppy denoting happiness for
August; aster and morning glory representing clear thinking for
September; marigold denoting hope for October; chrysanthemum
representing fidelity for November; and finally narcissus and
holly denoting prosperity for December. Whether you pick flowers
for their beauty or symbolism, they make perfect gifts for your
loved ones. Get the leading deals on the brightest blooms by buying

Like our farm, Highland Hill Farm, Horsham Pa. is located in an eara with lots of clay. We therefore like plants that grow well in clay. Arborvitae, in particular the Nigra Arborvitae is one of our favorites. Here is why.
The hardiness zone for the Nigra Arborvitae is from zones 5 to 8. Its evergreen with rapid growth rates that in ideal conditions can be up to 1.5 feet per year. Site requirements for the Nigra Arborvitae is sun to partial shade, moist well drained soil but does well in clay, and needs protection from wind . Its texture is fine with its form conical being narrow to broadly pyramidal, reaching from 30 to 40′ in height to 6 to 12 feet in width. The leaf is green graceful foliage. It keeps its foliage color in the winter but can tend to bronze alittle in the winter. The Nigra Arborvitae flowers/fruit are .5″ erect female cones. The Nigra Arborvitae has strong wood, casts dense shade, and has red bark when young. Arborvitae do not tolerate salt spray. These arborvitae should outlive even your children.

Filed under: Flowers — Administrator @ 9:48 am

Abstract: Artificial Flower

You have probably received or sent roses at least once in your life. Besides the obvious “Someone has thought of me”, what do roses say? Roses and their colors have different meanings. So before you send your next bouquet or after you have received one, you need to read this. Is there a secret message behind that delivery?

As most people may know, the traditional bouquet of red roses signifies love. But nowadays, depending on who you ask, red roses can be described as anything from a classic bouquet of flowers to original and boring. One thing is certain however, red roses recapital the most popular of them all.

Yellow roses used to represent jealousy, but somewhere along the lines its representation changes to mean joy and friendship. Yellow roses with red tips represent friendship blossoming into love. .

White roses are often known as the bridal flower, but the real meaning of white roses is purity, loyalty and innocence.

Orange and Coral roses express desire and fascination. Be sure not to send the wrong message with this bold bouquet.

Pink roses have different meanings depending on the shade of pink. Light pink roses express fondness and sympathy, whereas dark pink roses are meant to express the feelings of gratitude and appreciation.

Purple Roses indicate enchantment and love at first site. On the hand, blue roses symbolize, fantasy and the unattainable.

The black rose is known to represent death. They are not natural but instead dyed. Hint: Its pretty safe to say that your sweetie wouldn’t want to receive this bouquet (unless they have mentioned liking black flowers).

When different colored roses are mixed, some of their meanings change. A mix of white and red roses represent unity. Whereas a mix of yellow and red roses symbolize happiness. White and yellow roses represent harmony.

A mix of all colored roses says “You mean everything to me” due to broad mix of colors and their meanings.

A single stemmed rose says “I Love You” and two roses intertwined represent an engagement. Any other single rose means “Thank You”.

Whichever bouquet you decide to send, when the appropriate bouquet is end, it makes it that much higher special. You are probably thinking, “What are the chances that the person receiving the bouquet even knows what the colors mean?”. Chances are they don’t. That would be the perfect opportunity to tell them that you thought of them enough to send the “perfect” arrangement, by researching the colors first. Just think, a gift with thought behind it weighs fresh on the heart!

Even if you don’t take any of the information into consideration, at least you have learned something new.
